12 Days of Giving

As we journey through Advent to prepare for the birth of Christ, students at BMCC in form time have been making Advent Promises linked to the Sunday Gospels.  This week we will be focusing on the message of John the Baptist telling people to get ready to meet Jesus.  As part of our preparation for the Incarnation, staff and students are kindly donating food and clothing (socks, scarves, hats etc.) to go to Heavens Kitchen.  This is  part of Dudley Community Church who run a local  food bank and also support the homeless in the Black Country.

Please read the poster and we would be grateful if you could bring donations to your form tutor. Students from 8C have spoken about this charity drive in assemblies.

Next week on the penultimate day of term donated items will be counted up and the winning year group will receive an extra 15 mins of lunch for their generosity.

We appreciate that money is tight at Christmas,  but if we could think of local families for whom food is scarce or those spending Christmas in the Black Country homeless we would be grateful.
