Glorious Garden Creation

During the Spring and Summer Term students and members of the SEN team have been putting their talents to the fore in creating a fabulous inaugural entry to the Gardeners World competition for Schools under the theme “Around the World”.

The competition has been entered by 45 schools from the West Midlands; the theme, “Around The World” asked each entry to represent a country by planting a garden in a wheelbarrow. After consideration and deliberation our students chose to base their garden on Italy; they have planted crops to represent a Mediterranean diet, flowers from Italy, and this has been enhanced with Italian imagery and a clear link to our Catholic College ethos and the Holy City of Rome. The entry is a real team effort, and I am sure you will agree everyone involved deserves praise for the commitment to the project and the beautiful end result is magnifico!

All entries will be on display at the “Gardeners World Live” exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham, from Thursday 13th – Sunday 16th June 2019. The show is open from 9am-6pm each day, so if you are thinking of going don’t forget to go and see the beautiful Bishop Milner Catholic College entry – and don’t forget to vote for us!
