Our open evening gives all prospective students the opportunity to explore the college site, meet our staff and students and see our state of the art facilities.
You will be able to meet current students and find out about their courses and what it’s really like to be a student at Bishop Milner Catholic College. Staff will also be on hand to give you advice and guidance about course combinations, application forms and how to take the next step to move on to university and your future career options.
Our Head Student Team will be giving students tours throughout the evening and there will be opportunities to find out more about your chosen courses.
Our Duke of Edinburgh team will be on hand to discuss the Gold award that we encourage our students to take part in.

Excellent exam results
Bishop Milner has secured outstanding results in our A level studies, with three quarter of our students achieving top grades in their chosen subjects. Subject performance has exceeded previous year’s results with 18 subjects achieving 100% pass rate.
Ofsted rated ‘ Good’
When Ofsted came to visit the college, they rated Bishop Milner Sixth Form college as ‘Good’ and remarked on the pupils as a credit to the college stating that they are “Polite and friendly. Pupils are supported by Catholic values of tolerance, respect and care. These are evident in the culture and atmosphere of this forward-looking, inclusive and happy school.
Bishop Milner Catholic College Sixth Form has exceptionally good facilities for its students, which are purpose-built to ensure that all students have the best working environment. With a dedicated Food Hall, Games room, study area filled with state of the art computers, Sports Hall available lunch times and after college.
All our staff, academic and vocational, are experienced within their fields and are committed to continuously developing their skills and teaching methods to ensure all students are receiving the best resources possible.
Careers and Progression
Around 95% of our students go on to university each year, including students from both A level and Vocational courses. They are well prepared for all universities and courses. These include Birmingham, UCL, Bristol and other Russell group Universities. Some go to specialist art and music schools. Undergraduate studies include Medicine, Optometry , Biomedical Science, Aerospace Engineering, English, Law, Psychology, Sociology, Art, Business subjects and many others.
With excellent Retention rate across the college, this year has also seen a partnership with Russell Group university, Oriel College Oxford. Alongside our continued work with Aspire to HE.
