The Science department, through their collaboration with Physics Partners, organised a talk from Sarah Cosgriff who is a Gender Balance Officer at the Institute of Physics.
Sarah delivered a talk to staff and 6th form students on tackling gender bias in schools and the wider world of work. One of the aims is to encourage more girls to take A level Physics.
Her talk was engaging and certainly promoted thoughtful discussion around unconscious gender bias, more inclusive teaching and supporting the students with vocational choices.
