There is a growing body of evidence which illustrates the importance of reading for pleasure for both educational as well as personal development. Our Mission Statement is to “Inspire hearts and minds with Christ at the centre of all we say and do” and we understand the importance of developing a love of reading as essential to enrich and enhance the lives of our students.
We have a thriving school library, assisted by our student librarian team.
We come together as a college to celebrate World Book Day, we have enjoyed visits from Poet Laureate Dreadlock Alien to explore vocabulary; we participate in the Teen Book Awards each year and we run frequent holiday competitions to encourage reading at home.
